GTM Assistant — how to use it
Create Google Tag Manager tags for www.castlery.com in plain English. Drafts only — nothing goes live until a manager publishes it.
Creating a tag
- Type what you need, plainly — e.g. “Add a Facebook add-to-cart tag on the existing add-to-cart trigger.”
- The assistant looks up your real triggers and variables and shows a Review this tag card.
- Check it, then click Create draft tag.
- Click Copy message and send it to your GTM manager (Yanhuang) to publish.
What it can do
- Build tags from installed vendor templates — Meta/Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, Criteo, RTB House, and more
- Create Custom HTML / JavaScript tags too — for vendors without a template (e.g. LINE Ads)
- Reuse the triggers and variables you already have
- Warn you if a similar tag already exists
What it can’t do
- Publish — tags never go live on their own; your GTM manager reviews and publishes
- Create triggers or variables — it reuses the ones already in the container
Good to know
- Drafts collect in one GTM workspace (
tagman-drafts) for your manager to review
- Your past chats are in the left sidebar; start a fresh one with New chat
- If it says the connection needs re-authorising, tell IT — you can’t fix that from here
